Spring Season: Weeks 1-2
Mar. 16th, 2020 08:49 pmKinda... kinda regretting not updating last week given how quickly ALL THAT escalated. Still, it's not really affecting me yet aside from my brother being home from school (and it already felt like he was home all the time anyway with how much more time off KIDS TODAY get than when I was that age) and a couple of things closed; for the most part it's still business as usual up here.
It kinda feels like I'm getting the internet from a strange, parallel universe, where it's nothing but people talking about their ongoing quarantines and screaming at everyone else to stay home, with none of it translating to my actual day-to-day life at all. I'm updating from work as usual, the only difference being a whole lot of hand sanitizer and bottles of Spray Nine strewn about the place like that's going to stop this thing when it starts to spread. My job involves handling people's car keys all day, come on now.
Apparently our health zone finally clocked its first case yesterday, but whether that means it's made it all the way up here or is still down in Cold Lake or Grande Prairie is anyone's guess.
I definitely don't LIKE the fact that we're not shutting everything down before it's too late (because it will almost certainly get to that point, and quickly, right?), but I'm not really panicking any. Maybe I'm just not equipped to deal with TWO once-in-a-lifetime disasters in less than five years, or maybe I'm OVER-equipped for that very reason, but I'm just taking things one day at a time, here. Hope we don't die! Gonna wash my hands some more and order a burrito.
As for movies, it's been too long and I literally watched like 50 things, so I'm going to do my cashout and then try to do like... two word reviews for everything. Here goes!
