Who will love my ironies?

My computer is done. After four straight hours trying desperately to get into it enough to at least recover my files, I've spent the last half hour crying because I'm probably going to lose everything. Ten years of irreplaceable stuff gone because I'm an idiot who never backed up her most important files.

As I now only have access to the internet via my phone and a laptop with a completely screwed up keyboard, this also means I'll have to call a hiatus from RP. Because my mother still doesn't have a job, I have no money due to paying rent for four people and have no idea when I will be able to get something better. All of my characters are probably going to be purged at TR. I'm sure I'll be able to be properly upset once I get over losing absolutely all of my stuff so that's something to look forward to. I can only be completely crushed about one thing at a time.

UPDATE: Two and a half hours later, I've gotten Linux running well enough to copy my files to the external (and also the laptop, since I'm short on space in both). My computer is still fucked beyond repair, but I can save my most important stuff. AND HAVE LEARNED AN IMPORTANT LESSON ABOUT KEEPING BACKUPS, JFC. I'm so relieved, I'm crying again.

Though that could also be exhaustion talking. I can't remember the last time I was this drained, both emotionally and physically.
