The day warmed up a lot in just a couple of hours. S'good.

So my mom is officially diabetic. It's not a huge surprise, considering our family history and how ridiculously lethargic she's been for a while now, and it's still early days and we're able to comfortably afford her new prescriptions even though she doesn't have any coverage, so it's not the end of the world. Still, it's gotta suck and be worrying for her considering her father died from complications and she's looking down the barrel of her 50s and she's gonna need to lose weight ASAP, and I REALLY want to be here and present and supportive for her, but I don't know how to do all that when I'm a) bad at that sort of thing to begin with and b) so goddamn tired all of the time.

She seemed surprisingly receptive to my (frankly insane) suggestion that we drive 12 hours next weekend so I can go see Nobody in Lloydminster. With our local coronavirus numbers skyrocketing out of nowhere and no one in the household able to adequately isolate anyway, maybe a random family road trip is the sort of thing she needs right now, just a chance to get the fuck out for a bit. My brother's back from the hospital and is still recovering from his (second) appendectomy, my grandmother is back from Edmonton recovering from HER surgery (finally got her cataracts fixed!), now the diabetes thing, it's been a TIME, just a lot of stupid stresses piling up, mostly on my mom. And it's the one movie to release that I really wanted to see in a theater, damn it.

We'd have to find somebody to take care of the dog for the day(s). Hrm.

In exactly half an hour, I will be halfway through my work week. Gonna order Japanese I think, okay, write later, kisses, bye~~~

Maybe if I put this here I will remember it at some point tonight:

DON'T FORGET TO GRAB A NEW THING OF HAND SANITIZER FOR WORK TOMORROW. I've been using the industrial-grade stuff they supply us with and gah, my poor skin. I need my pleasant scents.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING A WATER BOTTLE. They finally hooked the DRINKPOD back up in the employee break room, so the days of our free water rations are over. Which kinda sucks, they were really convenient in terms of just... motivating me to drink a certain amount of water at work. Now I gotta do it MYSELF?? Lame.

Time to go home and watch some goddamn wrestling.
