merridia: (no. it is u.)
Oh, my poor, neglected journal, how are we fairing tonight?

So I've been back from my grand Stratford vacation for several days now, but like an idiot, I went directly back to work a few hours after I got off the plane, so I've been going non-stop since then and haven't really had the chance to sit back and catch my breath. So that's what I'm doing now! I have no earthly idea where to even begin, so hopefully, writing stuff out will help me sort my thoughts some.

First up: vacation was amazing. I've wanted to go back to Stratford ever since I first went five years ago (already, christ almighty) and I'm so glad I finally made it, even if it took Colm Feore also coming back for it to happen. Saw some really great productions of King Lear, Antony and Cleopatra (my big weird crush on Geraint Wyn Davies: STILL INTACT EVEN THOUGH HE'S PUSHING 60, WHAT THE HELL), A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Beaux' Stratagem, and Crazy For You, some really interesting productions of King John and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and a middling performance of Hay Fever that kinda missed the whole point I thought, but I'm no Noel Coward expert, what the fuck do I know. Also saw Hawskley Workman do his super intense one-man musical bacchanal thing from like five feet away and it was fucking life altering, and also Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood doing their thing. It was a wonderful, intense week and super worth being completely broke and sore from all that walking. Gosh, Stratford is pretty.

Side effect of growing up in a place without maple trees: the leaves just look wrong when they're still green.

The Work Situation: Because it's always helpful to be aware of these things, right? The winter tire season is nearly upon us, and so my hours have been expanded accordingly. For the next few months, I will be working north of 50 hours a week, from Sunday to Friday, not getting home until about 10PM every night. Hopefully this will be enough to sock away an adequate amount of cash for SDCC/Vegas 2015? TIME WILL TELL, HA HA

All this really means for me, RP-wise, is that I have to have to have to get into the habit of writing out all of my tags while I'm at work every single night, otherwise, it's just never going to happen and I might as well quit completely.

**taking a break from writing this post to go write about garbage X-Men for GRCT**

OKAY, BACK. Where was I? My train of thought has entirely derailed, crud. Alls I know is that I've been sucking at RP for a good long while, and that's gotta stop now. Tomorrow is my day off (SEE SCHEDULE ABOVE, see it's handy I told you), so I'll be around and hopefully will be getting some shit done. I also wrote like half an app while in Stratford and I've been picking at it ever since, so I've gotta start making some serious reqs at Darrow so I can strike while the iron's hot.
