[251] [269] [030] [076] City of assholes
Oct. 12th, 2012 11:18 amA conflicted sort of morning. On the one hand, it felt great to get a proper amount of sleep and still wake up at a nice, early hour. On the other hand, you all know how much I hate working late. Bleh. See y'all at ass o'clock tonight when I get home!
One of the small people stops and looks down at you. He mistakes you for a town guard and calls out to his accomplices to run for cover. Then he points a short crossbow at you and fires a bolt.
Luck roll! If 'being really lucky' isn't a proper strategy, I don't know what is.
The bolt thuds into the ground at your feet.
The little man with the crossbow curses before running into the building on your left. There does not appear to be an easy way to catch him, so you walk under the bridge and continue east.
Tower Street soon ends at a junction, where it meets Stable Street running north and south. You decide to go north.
To your left you see a large wooden barn set back from the houses. Two horses are tied to a post outside the barn, and smoke rises from a crooked chimney on top of its low flat roof.
