Wow, for a painfully slow, dull day at work, that was actually kind of eventful. Early on, after about five hours had passed but the clock insisted that it had only been thirty minutes, my coworker started joking about how she wished the power would go out or the fire alarm would go off so that we could just close. Not five minutes later, the power went out. What a wacky coincidence, good laughs were had by all.

And then the fucking fire alarm went off. Keep in mind that I've never seen either of these things happen in the mall before today, it's not like it's some super regular occurence. I felt so bad for the poor people in the middle of haircuts. It only lasted about fifteen minutes, but there were fire trucks and ambulances and shit, and it was JUST enough time for us to lock everything up and get far enough away that we can just pretend we left before it ended. It was already quarter to four, fuck going back to work for two stupid hours.

And that's the story of how I found out one of my coworkers is a witch.

(Of course, this may also have something to do with the brand new emergency protocol folders they handed out just the other day, but I'm pretty sure they have to announce drills ahead of time, so. Further kooky coincidence?)

(Also, how good was the movie Perfect Sense, you guys? I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't that, so good.)
