Two more days! I'm so tired. Mom managed to get a slightly earlier appointment with a surgeon, so she's off to Edmonton today and I'm kind of an anxious wreck about it, but work doesn't wait. Especially since she may or may not have a job herself by the end of the week? There's a lot going on right now! I really hope they don't send me to Calgary right away!
Realized the aesthetic I've kinda been pushing for in my current room reorganization has been 'bed surrounded by screens', which maybe isn't helping the anxiety, but I genuinely love it a lot and it makes me very happy. I know no part of Five Millions Merits was meant to be aspirational, but we cannot help the things we think are cool.
4. How Much Slang Do You Use? What Are Your Favorite Words?
I feel like everyone uses quite a bit at this point, as the internet has shortened the cycle from slang -> normal vocabulary so much that it's nearly nonexistent. Language is pretty fun, but I guess I'd put myself in the middle of the road in my day-to-day, since I remain a stickler when it comes to blatantly incorrect usages of terms/phrases that serve to erase/obscure previous nuances. If you ever hear the word 'unalive' from me, that's your clue that I'm in a hostage situation. Favourite word is when people a hundred years ago would say Abyssinia instead of goodbye.
It's so so so hot outside right now, and I am stuck in here, with the horrible artificial cold. I yearn to bask.
