[291] you'll be right here today, gone tomorrow

AEW tickets for 2024 have been acquired! Sad that I wasn't able to snag front row for any of the dates, but it's just too tough fighting the Ticketmaster fight when I'm at work, and I couldn't justify taking like six hours off work to cover all of my time zone bases. Still (mostly, the fucking site decided I was a bot and locked me out of the Vancouver sale for way too long) good seats for (mostly, fucking Saddledome) reasonable prices, so I have future trips to look forward to! Not going to start planning in earnest until all of the dates around those ones are confirmed to be in the US so there aren't any surprises, but right now the skeleton of my travel schedule is:

March 16th: Ottawa, probably flying in the day before and then just hanging out until the 19th because I've never been!

March 20th: Toronto!

March 27th: Quebec City, and I'll probably head there pretty shortly after the Toronto show just because I've never been! Might as well see the sights!

March 30th: London; the one I was born in, not the big British one. I haven't been in like twenty years! I might stay for a day or two, I've got some wiggle room before I'll have to be back to work in April, so we'll see how the money holds out.

So then I'll come back home and work a set, except for maybe the Tuesday depending on when I can catch a flight for...

April 10th: Winnipeg, get pegged!! I really enjoyed my little one-day trip there last year, and I am looking forward to a frosty repeat!

Then it's back home and back to work for two more sets~~

May 8th: Edmonton! My manager has informed me that I'm not allowed to take Tuesday off because it's her birthday, so I will avoid taking another ding in my pay and just catch an early bus, even if that means cutting it closer than I like to, since I don't think there's an evening bus on Tuesday when that would be the most convenient option (the bus stop is just down the street, I could bring my backpack to work and everything!).

May 11th: Vancouver! I really want to take a train through the Rockies, but it only leaves ON Wednesdays and Saturdays, which is a bummer. I definitely don't want to fly AGAIN, I hate it so very much, but may be forced into it by stupid schedules.

Back home for... four sets? This is how my life is measured now.

July 10th: Calgary, just in time for Stampede! Since I have nothing else planned and will have to take a couple of days off work anyway, I want to head down a little early and make a nice little trip of it. The deciding factor will be price of accommodations, probably?

So that's the front half of next year! Tentatively! Hopefully nothing comes around to derail it all horribly, ha ha!
