re: Online Safety

Thursday! Thor's Day! It's the second of the week! I'm tired even though I slept better than I did the night before! Had to bust out a janky old desk fan in order to do it because the Mystery of the Blazing Bedroom continues apace, but it got the job done. Why is my room so hot!! My brand new computer overheated while I was at work and I had to turn it off and fan it for a while before it cooled down enough to function! I finally turned the ceiling fan back on and while I thought it was helping, that might have just been wishful thinking because after a run and a shower, I was right back to dying for the rest of the night (at least until desperate closet fan scrounging saved the situation). If things still haven't improved by the time I get home from work, I guess I'll try reversing the ceiling fan's direction and go from there? Whyyyyy is this happening. This will be my sixth winter in this house, this has never happened before! I can't imagine how bad this might get when it's -40 degrees outside and the heater is kicking on constantly.

Whatever, for now I am at work, where it is shitty and cold! I was thinking about starting to frequent the in-dealership cafe for my lunches so that I could have something nice and different every day (it's all very reasonably priced), but that goes against my ethos of not relying on other people's schedules, since I never know when to catch the lady who mans the counter at the right time to order. Alas! I brought a bottle of hot sauce to work today to try jazzing up my sad little noodle cups, maybe that will be a sufficient boost to my culinary spirits.

No movie this weekend, since I have the company Christmas party on Saturday (my brother wants to come even though he doesn't work here anymore, lol) and my mom doesn't like going late on any other day. Makes me sad, but the only new things playing are Red One and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, so... not that sad. GladIIator and Wicked: Part One, Actually next week~

13. How Careful Are You Online?

Not very. I'm sure I'm pretty easily doxxable if anyone cared to try, but I keep a low enough profile, who would even want to? I've had my credit card information stolen only once, not sure how that happened, but I've given enough money to enough sketchy sites over the years, I think I'm doing okay. Got a handful of angry emails from corporations about torrenting stuff, KEEP WHINING, VIACOM, I'M SURE I GIVE A SHIT. I have been trying to standardize my password protocols into something more secure lately, at least? That's something!
