I think the most depressing thing about nights where I'm efficient and productive are that there's still so much more I wish I could have done? Like, I went for a run and showered and ate hot wings and watched an episode of Rome and listened to a Reyna Tropical album and read for over an hour and hung out with Bub and said bye to my mom and tidied up and fell asleep at a reasonablish time and by all objective measures, it was a very good, satisfying evening, considering the fact that it came in between 12-hour shifts at the ol' dealership. And yet! I also wanted to watch wrestling and play video games and then chill with a Clue Club movie, but there are not enough hours in a single life to contain all the fun bullshit there is! I don't want to work! I hate having to work and I simply wish I never had to do it and I will never pretend otherwise!

Anyway, my mother and brother will be off to Edmonton when she gets off work today, surgery tomorrow! Her side is starting to bruise from the giant tumour poking out against her skin! They really wanted her to wait until next month for a consult.
