Vacation Missive #8: The Last One
London! Since yesterday was Good Friday and everything else was closed, I just spent the entire day marching through the massive empty parking lots and retail complexes of the city to go to three different movie theatres and watch three different movies! I was smart and only got popcorn for the first one (I truly don't know if it's just that it's what I'm used to, but Landmark popcorn is so much better than any other chain's, CINEPLEX), but the sheer volume of Diet Coke/Pepsi consumed still did me in a bit, I think. Still, it was totally worth it. A good Friday!
I'm staying in a lovely inn/spa that definitely used to be some rich guy's house like a hundred years ago, and today I am simply taking it super chill, reading in my cushy third floor windowsill (I'd go downstairs to one of the fancy common areas, but that would require putting on pants and I already did that for breakfast) with Kenny Omega's Twitch stream going on my laptop (the reveal that Emi has apparently been tricking young girls into training as wrestlers for decades now is amazing) and the Bob Ross channel up on the TV. Truly living the dream until it's time for Collision tonight (the arena is only a 25-minute walk away), and then I'll be heading home tomorrow! My knee is still fucked, but the big nasty blister on my toe has finally started to subside. See y'all in April!
