Vacation Missive #3: Wherein the Body Rebels

Greetings from sunnier-than-yesterday Toronto! I did indeed just spend my last day in Ottawa pouting around and watching stuff, and honestly, it was really nice and needed. Went and saw Love Lies Bleeding a second time to parse how I feel about the ending, and now I think it's my favourite movie of the year so far, so there! Hopefully if AEW ever comes back to Ottawa, they run the TD Place instead of the Canadian Tire Centre, though, suburbs are laaaaaaame, life-changingly great accommodations aside.

I caught the train to Trawna yesterday afternoon, but in so doing, I managed to really hurt my knee somehow? I just... stepped bad while getting to my seat and instantly felt something in there go crunch or tear or... something bad! And now it hurts like a bitch whenever I put weight on it or bend it in certain unpredictable ways. Still, it loosens up when I walk on it for a bit, so it hasn't held me back yet, just makes me hurt and worry a lot. I wandered around downtown for a bit last night to make an emergency Shoppers run since my body has ALSO decided that having a second period in two weeks would be a really fun, cool thing for it to do, but I also got to catch The Zone of Interest, so it was very much worth it. Just a gnawing, bad time of an amazing movie, that.

Popped some pain killers and took a bath today, which has completely laid me out in all of the best ways. Soon I will get dressed and make the last of my pasta and sauce (lightening the load for my next big travel day tomorrow), and then make the call about whether my knee feels okay enough to tack on an extra forty minutes or so of walking to hit up a Dollarama for stuff to make a sign for the show tonight.
