re: Work spouses, chores, jungles
Nov. 5th, 2022 08:55 amA quiet Saturday, and I sure hope I haven't just jinxed it. Mom is back home after chemo round four in Edmonton, the first of her second... idk, set? Of three, with a different, tougher set of drugs this time around. They didn't take any official measurements or anything, but the oncologist said that the tumours have definitely shrunk, so that's exciting!
13. Have you ever had a work “spouse?”
Not really? I don't think? Ex-con Coworker was probably the closest, but that's just because we were literally children growing up in the workforce together. None of my jobs are intensive enough to require a spouse to do it with, I like being a lone wolf. There was a stretch at Chow's (the most I have ever enjoyed employment in my life) where I was in a sort of weird work throuple with the other two guys there, just endless good vibes and wacky shenanigans every single day, does that count?
14. What’s the last chore you did?
Took out the trash and recycling yesterday morning, I guess. Since I was tooooooo lazy to do it the night before like usual.
15. Have you ever been to a jungle?
Only the CONCRETE JUNGLE, BABY~~~
The 'order expensive delivery every day' itch has come back swinging over the last few days, which is problematic for my 'need to make vacation money back up' purposes. I just want to put nice things in me!! Why must I CHOOSE.
