Once, when I was a kid, another kid, about my age but shorter (and I was a pretty short kid) came up behind me at Playdium while I was playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and just watched me play for a while before asking 'which one are you?' and I told him Gambit and that I was probably about to lose because I am very bad at fighting games and was very close to losing and he just kept watching thoughtfully for a minute before quietly and decisively saying 'you're going to win' and then I did and when I looked behind me again he was gone???
8. Do you need to agree with an artist’s lifestyle or politics to appreciate their art? To spend money on it?
Hmm, nah. If I know that somebody is a real piece of shit then I'll certainly be less inclined to want to bother seeking said art out in the first place when there's so much out there to see/read/hear as it is, but I have no interest in keeping a database of everyone out there known to suck, and if I'm already interested in or like something, the sins of the creators probably aren't going to be dealbreakers, though they certainly might change how I engage with the work.
Halfway through the week, forty-five minutes left until I can go home, hopefully heading out to the movies tonight. We hanging on.
