On the one hand, oh my god it's already Monday, I don't want to go baaaaaaaack. But on the other hand, it's like six fucking degrees outside, and who can be uneasy in the face of that? Also I bought myself a new fuzzy robe, though I'm not allowed to put it on until after I go check the mail (which will be a joy in and of itself because, again, six degrees).

I'm gonna be really sad to miss a whole week of Olympics, but at least I get to be live for the entire beginning and ending of the games. Of all the heartbreaks and near-misses to happen yet this year, that curling loss, coming down to the final rock in the extra end of the last round robin game, is somehow the one that hurts the most. LESS THAN A FUCKING MILLIMETER, MAN.

6. What is the most distinguishing landmark in your city (or the closest city to you)?

...do we have landmarks? I guess the kilometers of horrible oilsand extraction wasteland are pretty distinguishing, but I wouldn't call them a landmark. Does Wood Buffalo National Park count? It's kinda far north from us, but fuck it, we're all one municipality, I'll claim it. It's bigger than Switzerland!

7. What was the very first social media site you signed up for?

Face... book? Wait, how are we defining social media, here? I think it's come to mean more of a specific thing these days, the big online silos that we all get funneled into that look increasingly identical, but that's not really accurate, is it? Social media is a pretty broad category of online experience, right? DW is a social media site, right? So the actual answer would probably be, like... ezboard (RIP). Maybe Neopets? But ezboard was the first place that I found real communities and made actual friends online in. Damn, do I miss those days.
