[283] [060] It never ends
I... really do not want to be awake right now. My night shift was unexpectedly changed to a normal one, screwing my schedule right up. I'm dead on my feet, but at least I should be off by 5. There was more I wanted to say, but it's completely gone out of my head because, oh right, dying.
Unavoidably heading into the meteor storm, you sit tight and hope it will pass quickly. As you enter, the Traveller rocks as the shields take blows from the pounding meteors.
A lot of really intense dice throwing follows! Like seriously, I wish you guys could see this shit. In the end, two meteors manage to penetrate your shields, but they both only do minor damage. Small favours!
You sail through the meteor storm and can proceed to the small star cluster you were originally heading for.
You approach the small cluster. A message from your catering officer comes through your intercom. 'Captain,' he reports, 'I've just discovered a malfunction in one of our freezers. We have lost a good deal of food. What we have left will last the crew for no more than forty-eight hours!' You agree that you must now find supplies for the ship.
Scanning the cluster ahead you locate two planets of suitable temperatures and gravities to sustain life; one is green in colour, the other blue.
