[097] My brother, my enemy!
Sunday, my delicious day off. I really need to come to terms with the fact that I really have trouble being productive, either in RP or anything else, on my days off. I make such grand plans and then just slack off all day, I really need to stop... assuming I will one day do otherwise.
So far, I've just been watching more St. Elsewhere and poking around Netflix (we've had it for ages, I've just never really given it a shot for some reason?). Finally got around to checking out the first episode of Sherlock last night and I am officially in love. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes didn't particularly grab me, but the guy who does Tony does this annoying RDJ impression that bugged the hell out of me, so I switched it over to the french language track and found myself enjoying it much more. I will give it more chances solely on the basis that they put motherfucking Jimmy Woo in the first episode. That earned it serious points in my book. First, I want to finally check out Luther, though.
And now for a random digression about grandparental issues, since that's still a thing. My grandmother broke her leg again. They've been refusing to let her back in her scooter and no one at the hospital will take her outside, so we've been having to visit twice a day just so she can go out to have a smoke and it's been total bullshit, basically, but we finally got them to agree to let her use an electric wheelchair if she could pass a driving test. Which she finally did, until they made her parallel park the thing and she hit a wall and broke her leg. Sigh. Meanwhile, my grandfather had a bad dialysis session the other day and came home with his arm black from bruising and complaining that his kidneys hurt while refusing to go to emergency for it. He's been violently ill for the past 24 hours and mostly my mom and I are just glad he comes out of his room every few hours so we don't have to go check that he hasn't died in his sleep.
Back to the good stuff!
In spite of all my slacking off, I remain determined to at least do my oldest tags today and tidy my room a bit. I wanted to item post Madelyne given that it's her one year anniversary today, but I'm being such a slow ass on Cable's home plot, I'm not sure it's a good idea. May go for it anyway. Would people actually tag it?
It feels odd not putting up a pointless poll. I was planning on waiting before starting a new adventure, but maybe the fates have other plans in store.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I'm going back to my happy place, a run-down Boston teaching hospital where Howie Mandel gives me all the feelings.
