Communism was just a red herring!
And we're back to work! I have successfully booked the flights for my December jaunt across the country, which feels like enough productivity for one day, honestly, but I don't really want this to turn into a 'count the hours until I can go home and run' day, so I will endeavour to busy myself in other ways. Maybe I will write some fanfic or something! I've really got the bug right now, but actually making words instead of just thinking about making them is so so so hard.
Clue: On Stage, by Sandy Rustin, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn for the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture based on the Hasbro board game CLUE
Directed By: A mystery. My mom once again hogged the program.
Synopsis: Step into a world of mystery, suspense, and laughter as Keyano Theatre Company (KTC) proudly presents Clue: On Stage at Keyano Theatre!
This thrilling theatrical adaptation of the classic board game is a must-see event that will leave you on the edge of your seat. KTC’s engaging production takes you on a thrilling journey through the mysterious Boddy Manor, where a murder has been committed. As the eccentric suspects gather in the opulent rooms, tension builds, and secrets are revealed. Every twist and turn will keep you on your toes, with unexpected revelations and witty one-liners that will have you laughing out loud. Will you be able to solve the crime before the final curtain falls?
Prepare for an evening filled with twists, turns, and unexpected surprises that will keep you guessing until the very end.
Pros: Pretty fun modular staging so you can get the entire mansion in there on our sad local theatre budgets and some truly excellent live action run animations throughout.
Cons: It was pretty much just a straight run-through of the movie, so no real surprises.
What I Was Up To: There are NO even remotely decent-looking movies playing right now, so me and my mom were really leaning on this to shoulder the burden left by that entertainment void in our weekend. It was Friday the 13th! In October! You can't waste that! You need some murders!
Verdict: I have no complaints! It was a real good time!
I should post about the two plays I saw back on my summer trip. Keep the records complete. Tomorrow, perhaps!
