[009] Enter, the new year

Well, with everyone getting their media tracking ducks in a row for 2012, I figured I'd go over my consumed entertainment for the last year. The results were kind of sad, if unsurprising.

236 movies watched, 1100 episodes of television watched, and... 17 books read.

Yikes. So. I really like TV, you guys? Still want to do some kind of recap of all the shows I watched this year since I have feelings about most of them, but that will wait until I'm a little more on top of my shit (I keep wavering on whether to tag around the NYE party, so now of course it's gonna be two days later and I will just assume everyone has rightfully moved on, ech (and I would, too, I'm not planning on apping soon so I don't really need the last of my reqs, but I also just... want more threads, so. I will end up with dumb regrets either way, basically, why am I so bad at time management? (don't answer that, the answer is right above, 1100 goddamn episodes of television, jesus fuck))). Feelings!

A few random goals for the new year (resolutions are just made to be broken):

• READ MORE. 50 books might be too ambitious to pull off with my shoddy reading track record, but it's a good number to shoot for whether I make it or not, so let's go with that.


• REQS EVERY MONTH. I might give myself a pass in the summer if I make it Stateside again, but other than that, there are no excuses. I'm capping myself at six characters because I know that I can handle that many without problems, but only if I quit fucking around so much and stop constantly putting things off.


• HAIRCUT. Really, I just need to get a trim really bad, this is more of a reminder to myself than a real yearly goal.


• STOP CHEAPENING THE GOAL LIST. This is for longer-term shit than just getting a haircut, lady.

2. That is tragically more books than I read, which was... like, four. Fuck. I'm hoping I change that this year, gonna read more like a boss.

1. In my defense, I was unemployed for most of the year... but seriously. And yet my natural impulse is to try and BEAT IT this year. XD

2. ALL THE READING. And that number is slightly lamer when you consider it includes all 7 Harry Potter books, 4 ASoIaF books, and like, 4 X-Men novelizations, so yeah. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN.

4. Good! I will not let myself get to it until after I figure out wtf I'm doing with the gathering post, but yes, I will be on that with, at the very least, Madelyne. :D

LMAO IKR? I was like, shit, I only got through 70 movies even though I was unemployed most of the year? I'MA DO 100 THIS YEAR. Giiiirl, no, I am not. BUT I WILL TRY.

And at least reading at work is reasonable, so. SOB, one of my books was The Help, it's okay, we can be sad together.

Basically leaving my post open until I start crying from the sheer volume of tags. I really want a lot, why is no one understanding this.
