Spring Season: Week 5
Vacation continues apace! Considering a severe money crisis was the reason I had to cancel my actual trip in the first place, I should really be working, I know, but god damn did I need this. New comic, new Riverdale, and cheap night at the movies tonight, I ain't thinking about shit and it's wonderful.
Anyway, watched a couple of movies! Though not many, I'm still trying to finish slogging my way through Runaways and rewarding myself with episodes of Grace & Frankie as motivation to finish, lord. EVERYTHING IS ABOUT THE FUCKING PARENTS, OH MY GOD. THEY'VE EVEN GOT THEIR OWN ONGOING SUBPLOTS, UNRELATED TO THE KIDS NOW. IT'S SO FUCKING STUPID.
Isn't It Romantic (2019): Cute! Ultimately pretty forgettable, but a fun night out. I think my favourite bit was how Rebel Wilson had a completely different hairstyle in every single scene of the film, because they never drew attention to it once, good shit. Five closing musical numbers out of five.
Sherlock Holmes (2009): Had a hospital movie night with my grandmother! This movie remains as weird and erratic and super watchable as it was a decade ago. How has Mark Strong not been in a proper Marvel movie yet? Five flashbacks to clues we never saw being collected out of five.
Sog (2017): A MEGA BLEAK short film, here go check it out and be depressed over human nature with me. Really endearingly weird bit of animation. Five screaming fish things out of five.
