This is probably the lamest New Year's I've spent since that time I rang in the new millenium by missing the countdown because I'd made it to level 5 in Circus Charlie on NES.** I was such a cool eleven-year-old.

*I have bought a lot more dresses than usual lately by virtue of working right in front of a clothes store. You stare at that shit all day, you end up wanting it. They have replaced DVDs as my new regular impulse purchase. Unsure as to whether I should feel pleased or saddened by this. INDIFFERENCE?
