merridia | [163] Rescue mission

Back from my first night shift, and... I am going to have to bring a little notebook I can hide under the till tomorrow night if I want to stay sane. It was actually pretty fun and low-key compared to all the actual work of the day shift where I'm constantly being pulled in five directions, just a lot of hanging around and shooting the shit with the guys, mainly, so. I let my boss know that if I had to work too many days in a week, I just would not make it, but the way my schedule works out right now is pretty much perfection. All day Sunday and Monday, then four night shifts in a row with Sundays off. That's just two days a week where I have to haul myself out of bed, and I have almost the entire day to myself for the rest of the week. PRETTY RAD. It'd be nice to have more hours, but if I stick around long enough to get a raise or two, it should balance out so I'm still making okay moneys.

EPing Reggie at Darrow either tonight or tomorrow, watch for that.

Finally caved and ordered one of the IDW Archie hardcovers from Amazon just to check them out and they are flippin' GORGEOUS. Definitely picking up the second Harry Lucey volume and then maybe some of the other artist showcases after that because goddamn, this book is serious quality, considering it cost under twenty bucks. Curious to see how the Dark Horse Archie showcases stack up in comparison.

Also, there's nothing like going over two months' worth of bank statements to give your motivation to save your money a punch in the face. WHERE DID IT ALL GO????? No more Amazon splurges allowed, at least until I get a proper paycheck or two under my belt and can reevaluate.
