[157] Hide 'n' seek!
Weird couple of days! Mostly due to the previously-mentioned sweltering heat, but what can you do? I'm not allowed on my phone at work, so I spend my days super eager to get home and tag, and then I spend five minutes in my fucking bedroom and my brain just goes "HAHAHA NOPE" and shuts down entirely and I hate it. It's actually not quite as bad today, maybe 35 degrees in my bedroom, so I will be taking advantage and doing some fun stuff tonight, striking while the iron is only really hot, instead of unbearably so.
Work is work! Slowly learning the ropes of the place, getting a feel for it. It helps somewhat that half of my coworkers were people who worked there the last time I did almost a decade ago, although obviously the work is pretty different as it's now mostly a tire/lube shop instead of a gas station. Also: I have never had to learn one of those super ghetto company computer systems before, so that's a thing that's happening. My boss Tony managed to sucker me into working more than just weekends, obviously, so I'm getting a little more experience in, although I was really looking forward to that bit of extra time off, boo. And then I'll go on vacation for three weeks and promptly forget everything, just watch. Still, I know I'll be grateful for the little bit of extra cash once I'm stateside, so I'm sucking it up.
And aww, I just got a random call from one of my former coworkers asking if I want all the puzzle books from the booth since I was the last person who did them and she didn't want to just throw them away~ THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD JOB YOU GUYS, UGH, I'M STILL SO PISSED OFF THAT I HAD TO LEAVE.
But SPEAKING of vacation, all I need to do is secure a place to stay in San Francisco from the 22nd to the 24th, and I am ALL SET, with almost an entire week to spare! Damn, I'm on the ball! (this is the opposite of the truth)
I should probably start packing right now, honestly.
