[140] Rage!
Eating truly gross amounts of candy, stuck out in the living room while I wait for The Walking Dead to come on (this is our weekly family time, okay) so I can't do tags, how about some super tentative vacation planning?
INPUT WELCOME, hahaha I have no idea what the shit I'm doing.
- Complicating matters somewhat is the fact that my mother has decided to take my brother on a vacation to San Diego to coincide with mine, which is... sigh. I'm excited for her, really, she never gets to travel, but not counting random trips out to Anzac and Fort Chip, I haven't left town in two years, and I'm really not looking forward to having town follow me when I finally do get out for a bit. Whatever, she gets that I need my space, I'll make it work.
- I definitely want to have a longer trip than I did last time, which I can do now that I have a decent job and a bit more cash socked away! I'm thinking I want at least a week out in California on my own before my family comes down on the 15th. Doing what? Staying where? NO IDEA, we'll fill that in along the line. I'm a fan of pestering people and couch surfing, for the record.
- SDCC! Badge has been purchased, 4-day with preview night, will be hoteling with Angel et al for the duration, hopefully somewhere awesome. Ideally, I'll find a way to get to San Diego for the 15th to meet my mom at the airport and spend a day with the fam, because she's pretty nervous about flying, but that will all depend on logistics/where I'm staying prior to the con.
- Post-con is where I'm really not sure. It all comes down to how expensive it would be. Either I'll just linger in California, hanging out and doing the whole tourist thing and eventually heading home with my family towards the end of the month, OR...
- ...I'll then catch a flight to Ontario and do the whole Stratford thing because seriously, while nothing is ever going to top seeing Colm Feore as Macbeth, I've been missing that place something fierce. It's seriously the perfect way to unwind after the insanity of SDCC, nice and picturesque and laid back. There are swans. I will watch Shakespeare and be lazy for a week or so and then I will catch a bus or a train or something to Montreal and hang out with nix and it will be a grand old time. This option, while it may turn out to be prohibitively expensive, we'll see, is definitely my favourite.
- DISNEYLAND. This should go higher in the post but whatever, gotta hit up Disneyland again, it's the happiest goddamn place on Earth.
- Oh, also random tattoo-getting in L.A.! See, I've got fuck all planned and I'm already forgetting stuff.
