Okay, time for my... second update this month? Jesus christ, working Monday to Friday is soul-sucking. Money, though! And a bit more time in the evenings after work, I guess? And thirty extra minutes of cozy time in the mornings, there are perks, and I do actually greatly prefer the work, I'm still just adapting, I guess.
I've gone to the movies... five times so far this month? Bad Guys 2 (good!), The Naked Gun (good!), Weapons (great!), Top Gun (Top Gun!), and Nobody 2 (good!).
Been finally catching up on a bit of TV, too: Ironheart (good!), Castlevania: Nocturne season 1 (good!), Yellowjackets season 3 (bad!). This week: I finally finish my Leftovers rewatch (great!).
Forbidden Door will be my reward for making it through the work week and hoo boy, they barely bothered to actually crack that thing open this year, huh? It's basically just an AEW PPV with a couple of special guests, which is disappointing and does a bit of a disservice to the matches themselves, which I'm genuinely hyped for; it's a great card, but a shitty Forbidden Door card specifically. Nevertheless! I WILL BE SEATED.

cope & christian vs. kip & nick: OLD MAN YAOI WINSSSSSSSSS, omg I'm really gonna be ringside to see edge and christian win their first tag team title together in over twenty years next month omg omg omg omg also KIP ON A PPV JUSTICE FOR KIPPERS even if his 'extremely beatable' streak will definitely continue lol
It seems like my hype levels are tier-based: matches with NJPW talent that thus actually fulfil the brief of this being a joint show are automatically placed above matches featuring only AEW talent, no matter how good they will be with the exception of the above mentioned tag match because IT'S THEIR FIRST TIME TAGGING TOGETHER IN FOURTEEN FUCKING YEARS, I AM A CHILD OF THE '90s AND I'M NOT MADE OF STONE, OKAY
zach vs nigel: gonna be a legendary carry job from my boy zsj and I don't even care THE LADS ARE GONNA TWIST EACH OTHER UPPPPPPPP
lights out steel cage match: tanahashi is gonna take fifteen minutes to climb onto the cage and do a high fly flow off the top and it's gonna rule, IF EDDIE DOESN'T FINALLY SHOW BACK UP TO SET GABE ON FIRE I'M NEVER WATCHING WRESTLING AGAIN, I MEAN IT THIS TIME
kyle vs hiromu: i'm just so happy hiromu is finally getting his big moment, HE DESERVES ITTTTTTT
tbs title 4-way: this will go up a spot if starlight kid ends up being the stardom rep, PROPER FORBIDDEN DOOR SHIT RIGHT HERE
hangman vs mjf: obviously this would be #2 on the list if this were any other show; if only it could have been at all out!!!
okada vs swerve: it's gonna fuck! please make me understand how the unified belt works though
toni vs athena: it's gonna fuck! athena should win, but only if she drops the roh title first
hurt syndicate vs. ftr (or brodido but lets face it it's gonna be ftr): just a means to an end, and that end is ftr as transitional champs for cope & christian to beat at all out AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so obviously I will respect it, the hype card has come full circle
