I would simply like to not be constantly freezing in the middle of May, that's all! I wish that wasn't such a big ask of both man and nature, but here we are!

Work is just annoying in general today, honestly, but the hours are ticking steadily by and we are, in fact, closed for Victoria Day, so I have that to look forward to. Nothing will impede my seeing the Monday Mystery Movie this week!

Torn between rewatching all the final destinations and all of the impossible missions ahead of their respective next installments, I will probably do neither. Is it too early to start thinking about tonight's supper? OH WELL.

Wikipedia Sez: Nothing's Shocking is the debut studio album by American rock band Jane's Addiction, released on August 23, 1988 through Warner Bros. Records. The album was preceded by the band's eponymous live debut album. Nothing's Shocking was well received by critics and peaked at number 103 on the Billboard 200, eventually being certified platinum by the RIAA. The single "Jane Says" reached number six on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks in 1988, although the album was subject to censorship due to its cover and the music video for the second single, "Mountain Song". It received a nomination for the 31st Grammy Awards in the category for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance Vocal or Instrumental, ultimately losing to Jethro Tull's Crest of a Knave.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative Metal, Heavy Metal

Release Date: August 23rd, 1988

Prior Familiarity: Not non-existent!

What I Did While Listening: Took some CBD and settled down for bed. Put away SOME of my laundry, at least. Maybe I'll get a few more articles done tonight!

Verdict: They're such a quintessential sound of the '90s that it's honestly kind of upsetting that they were actually around before I was born? Like no, that does not seem correct. Anyway, this was alright, none of their super memorable songs are present, but it's very much a Jane's Addiction record regardless. Their next one clears it, though.

Favourite Song: Had a Dad
