[280] when I want something, I don't want to pay for it
Twelve hours of sleep later, I'm back! Ready to be a proper person, with thoughts and feelings and a rich interior life dedicated to more than simply moving my limbs in the correct configurations to get me intact through the eighty hours that pay!
Got our first proper snow dump, enough that I don't see it melting even as the weather continues to be unseasonably warm (it's supposed to keep hovering just a couple of degrees above and below zero for at LEAST the next two weeks!), so I really gotta get myself some new boots if I'm going to keep walking to work.
Before I worry about that, though? I'm taking a bath.
And then maybe walking to work to pick up some glass cleaner, because I'm all out and forgot to grab some from parts while I was actually working. Truly the single most important thing I've learned from working in the automotive industry for so long is that that shit is great on EVERYTHING. Cleaning windows? Mirrors? ACDelco glass cleaner. Filthy surfaces? Floors? ACDelco glass cleaner. Dirty carpets? Spilled something on your pants? ACDelco glass cleaner. It's simply the shit!

Wikipedia Sez: Ritual de lo Habitual (Spanish for "Ritual of the Habitual") is the second studio album by American rock band Jane's Addiction, released on August 21, 1990, by Warner Bros. Records. Co-produced by Dave Jerden, it was the band's final studio album before their initial break-up in 1991. Singles from Ritual de lo Habitual include "Been Caught Stealing" and "Stop!". Ritual de lo Habitual is certified 2× Platinum in the U.S. In 1990, one month after its release, the album had sold 500,000 units.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Alternative Metal, Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Heavy Metal, Dance-Rock
Release Date: August 21st, 1990
Prior Familiarity: I only knew Been Caught Stealing, and in retrospect, it feels like a song that really resonates with my soul. Big Shiny Tunes, you will always be iconic.
What I Did While Listening: Started cleaning my room, because this was a particularly goblinesque work week wherein I let the clutter get particularly out of hand!
Verdict: The first half felt really samey, and nothing really stood out from the one song of theirs I already knew. But the back half, where it's all about Perry Farrell's dead girlfriend? Something special enough to elevate the whole thing.
Favourite Song: Obvious
I miss Quincey Morris.
