[463] I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie

Monday already. Tragic. I'm feeling alright though; it's beautiful outside and I got some good mail and I'm up to the quarterfinals in the New Japan Cup (Drilla my love) and I think I'm going to order myself a tasty wrap for supper and put on an episode of Arcane. Tomorrow it will be April, and then I will go back to work. Going to try and make the most of the hours in the meantime. There Will Be Baths.

Wikipedia Sez: Happy Trails is the second album of the American band Quicksilver Messenger Service. Most of the album was recorded from two performances at the Fillmore East and Fillmore West, although it is not clear which parts were recorded at which Fillmore. The record was released by Capitol Records in 1969 in stereo.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Acid Rock, Psychedelic/Garage

Release Date: March 29th, 1969

Prior Familiarity: None. Even now, somehow.

What I Did While Listening: Opened up and went through a fat stack of Pokemon cards that came in the mail. Accidentally ordered the wrong Brock's Mankey, though, booooo.

Verdict: Christ, what a boring load of nothing. Parts of Calvary were alright.

Favourite Song: First I was going to say Mona, because it was a breath of fresh air as the first song on the album after the ridiculously wanky 25-minute-long 'Who/When/Where/How/Which Do You Love' Bo Diddley cover, but Maiden of the Cancer Moon was less than half as long so it served as another breath of fresh air after that. So I guess I have to say it was actually the ninety-second title song, because while it was eye-rollingly winking and ironic, it also meant that this whole exercise in lame masturbatory guitar nonsense was over.
