[453] now I rock a house party at the drop of a hat

Still sleepy. Had a wicked headache for most of yesterday, which made things not fun, but I did get some good mail and took a nice bath, which helped somewhat. Did my nails (though I still have to do my toes), watched some wrestling, ate some sushi. Maybe Born Again and a run tonight? We'll see. I may just default to another bath if I'm still struggling, bleh.

Am in the midst of one of my quinquennial urges to buy a bunch of Pokemon cards. I bought some pretty new binders for them and everything. I am an adult.

Having trouble getting approval to leave early on Sunday for the PPV. I knew I should have asked the other manager first. Our theatre's finally getting Anora, at least! Plenty of things to look forward to this weekend, regardless of work.

Wikipedia Sez: Paul's Boutique is the second studio album by the American hip hop group Beastie Boys, released on July 25, 1989, by Capitol Records. It was recorded over two years at Matt Dike's apartment and the Record Plant in Los Angeles.

Genre: Rap

Styles: Alternative Rap, Golden Age

Release Date: July 25th, 1989

Prior Familiarity: Yes, broadly.

What I Did While Listening: Opened some mail, picked up my bedroom a bit, generally just puttered. I really wasn't feeling super great.

Verdict: As with most Beastie Boys offerings, I would describe it as 'endearingly annoying'. Probably didn't help my headache any.

Favourite Song: Maybe it's just because I had started filling the tub for a bath by this point, but the nine-movement B-Boy Bouillabaisse was pretty fun.
