Oscars! A pretty entertaining show, all told, even with the weird refusal to let us hear the Best Song nominees. Why has Conan not hosted before?? I have not seen Anora, because Sean Baker's screed about the threats to cinema were pretty fucking on point and it never actually played within 400km of me, but as good as The Brutalist was, it's a much more interesting Best Picture winner, especially right after Oppenheimer snoozed up last year's awards. Demi was still robbed, though.
I want to take a bath, especially with another stupid doctor's appointment tomorrow (this is all going to amount to nothing, I just know it), but I'm still pretty drunk, so I will play it safe and simply watch Fantastica Mania until I either sober up or pass out, whichever comes first.

Wikipedia Sez: Pyromania is the third studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 20 January 1983 through Vertigo Records in UK and Europe and through Mercury Records in the US. The first album to feature guitarist Phil Collen who replaced founding member Pete Willis, Pyromania was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The album was a shift away from the band's traditional heavy metal roots toward a more radio-friendly sound, finding massive mainstream success. Pyromania charted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, No. 4 on the Canadian RPM Album chart and No. 18 on the UK Albums Chart. Selling over ten million copies in the US, it has been certified diamond by the RIAA.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: British Metal, Contemporary Pop/Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Pop-Metal
Release Date: January 20th, 1983
Prior Familiarity: Yeah, some, there's a lot of classic rock radio junk here.
What I Did While Listening: Tried valiantly to digest the inordinate amounts of popcorn and other garbage that I ingested during the four hours I spent at the movie theatre for The Brutalist.
Verdict: Def Leppard is one of those bands that sounds exactly like parodies of said band. Pop metal is just so fuckin' goofy, y'all, this is a Limozeen record, straight up. Also, I don't think their drummer was as yet one-armed for this album, but the fact that they have a one-armed drummer is insanely sick regardless.
Favourite Song: Photograph I guess? All this shit sounds identical.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ somehow???
