[437] so here's more songs about chocolate and girls

Oof. We went from +5 to -30 degrees in two days, and it snowed... so, so much in the day between. I'm extremely sad about David Lynch, and my period is kicking my ass, but after a day spent a little bit lost, I'm determined to put myself back together and get some stuff done. Practical stuff, as well as stuff that just makes me happy. Here's to the weekend. Fix your hearts or die.

Wikipedia Sez: Hypnotised is a 1980 album released by the Undertones. The album, the second of four released by the band, was recorded at Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands in December 1979, and at Eden Studios in London in January 1980, with the majority of the songs to appear on the album being written between March and December 1979. In addition, although the primary lyrical concern of the songs upon this album focused upon teenage angst, boisterousness, and heartbreak (as had been the case with their debut album), several of the songs upon Hypnotised are notably both lyrically and musically more sophisticated than material released upon The Undertones.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: British Punk, New Wave, Punk, Punk/New Wave

Release Date: April 21st, 1980

Prior Familiarity: None! I seem to have enjoyed their first album, even if I don't remember it in the slightest.

What I Did While Listening: Ordered Boston Pizza and then stared at the tracker like a loser. I was doing so well for a couple of days, too.

Verdict: It's fun! It's pretty impossible not to enjoy a good poppy punk album where only two of the tracks are more than three minutes long, isn't it? Doubt it's going to stick in my memory any more than the last one, though.
