[428] her light eyes were dancing, she is insane

Back to being a person! I may still be bleeding everywhere, but I can move about without wanting to die and I've started doing laundry! Also, the most recent brutal cold snap broke, so everything is back to just being crisp and snowy, right in time for me to hit the town tomorrow. I really just need to pick up some cards and figure out what I'm getting my brother for Christmas, and my mom wants to see the latest showing of War of the Rohirrim, so I should have plenty of time to brave Walmart (ugh) before that.

I got to the part of Cookie Clicker where it gets scary. :(

Goals for tonight are getting a good run in (even if it's a short one, I felt a weird thing going on in my hip when I ventured out to check the mail earlier, probably because I've been sitting around so much for the last few days), and hitting up the ROH PPV. It's the freakin' weekend, babies~ (ETA: Gotta do my nails, too! MUSTN'T FORGET.)

Wikipedia Sez: Sister is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, released on SST Records on June 1. 1987. The album continued the band's move away from the no wave movement towards alternative rock song structures, while maintaining an experimental approach. Like Sonic Youth's previous albums, Sister was not commercially successful at the time of its release. In the years since, however, it has received critical acclaim, with several publications naming it as one of the best albums of the 1980s.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, American Underground, College Rock, Experimental, Experimental Rock, Indie Rock, Noise-Rock

Release Date: June 1st, 1987

Prior Familiarity: None. I thought I'd seen a boring documentary about Sonic Youth, but then I realized I was thinking about Fugazi.

What I Did While Listening: Washed up for the day, and then made Bagel Bites.

Verdict: Did very little for me. The substance is there, it just all sounds so... muddy. Definitely preferred the last album of theirs I pulled.

Favourite Song: Catholic Block
