[407] eu quero ver o que vai acontecer quando Zumbi chegar

Oh look, it's snowing again. The temperature is finally dipping down into the negative double digits and it's supposed to hit -30 by the end of the month, so I think it's safe to say winter has finally settled in for keeps. We had a good run, and it's still looking pretty nice outside, so I might actually make it to the end of the year before the bone-deep misery starts setting in. We'll see how Christmas goes!

No Canadian dates for AEW shows announced all the way to March now. I am sad and missing live wrestling, but also still wildly in debt from all my travels, so this is probably ultimately a good thing. Let my bank accounts recover, Tony, stay away a little while longer! Christmas Day Dynamite at the Hammerstein Ballroom is gonna be rad as hell. Very glad I didn't get my hopes up re: Speedball in the Continental Classic with the news that his TNA deal runs to the end of the year.

I am very tired, but it is my last day of work, and I am looking forward to sleeping a whole lot. And playing video games. And going to da movies. And getting back to season 7 of Zombies, Run! with the community run and VR18 in the rearview, since they just announced that season 11 is starting next week and I don't want to fall TOO far behind the main story~

Wikipedia Sez: África Brasil is a 1976 release by Brazilian artist Jorge Ben (recording since the 1980s as Jorge Ben Jor). It was Ben's 14th studio album. África Brasil represented a milestone in Ben's career with his switch to electric guitar and incorporation of both Afro-Brazilian and American funk music styles into his sound. África Brasil is one of Ben's best-known recordings. Rolling Stone Brazil listed it as one of the 100 best Brazilian albums in history, and it was included in both Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die as well as Tom Moon's collection 1,000 Recordings to Hear Before You Die. (there's a rip-off list, too????)

Genre: Latin, International

Styles: Brazilian Pop, Samba, Latin Pop, MPB, Brazilian Traditions, Global Jazz, Latin Jazz

Release Date: September 23rd, 1976

Prior Familiarity: Zero.

What I Did While Listening: Tidied up some inboxes, chilled before bed.

Verdict: I wasn't expecting much going in, most international albums that make this sort of list end up feeling really samey to me aside from coming in one of two flavours (South America and Africa), and the first couple of songs made it seem like this album was leaning in that direction, but then O Filósofo hit and oop, actually it totally fucks! Some absolutely wild beats in here, catchy hooks, and it's all just so much fun, damn.

Favourite Song: Taj Mahal

I was JUST about to ask you when you thought they’d come back to Canada >_> I was thinking of doing some of the Atlantic provinces next summer because I’d never been, but I hope they return to the east coast next year!
