[406] here we are now, entertain us

Snowy morning. It's still not actually particularly cold, though, so it's just... nice? It's nice. It was a nice walk to work and it's turning into a nice, white, gently falling day. Nice in a way that winter days so rarely are here. I can acknowledge that climate change/global warming is both very very bad on a macro level all of the time and very very nice on the micro some of the time. It's nice!

Company Christmas party was nice, too. It took me forever to pick out something to wear, and I didn't stay long (because I had to be back at work twelve hours later), but I said some hellos, ate way too much tasty food, had a drink, and won myself an air purifier before dipping, looking darn good all the while. A nice, chill time! I think my brother enjoyed himself, too.

Maybe the air purifier will magically fix my hot, hot bedroom. That remains... not so nice.

Wikipedia Sez: Nevermind is the second studio album by the American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991, by DGC Records. It was Nirvana's first release on a major label and the first to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind features a more polished, radio-friendly sound than the band's prior work. It was recorded at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, and Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, in May and June 1991, and mastered that August at the Mastering Lab in Hollywood, California.

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, Grunge

Release Date: September 24th, 1991

Prior Familiarity: Very high, through everything on here being an either iconic classic, or featured heavily in Guitar Hero (or both).

What I Did While Listening: Got dressed for the Christmas party, turning my hot, hot bedroom into a clothing tornado in the process. Seriously, this was an hour-long affair.

Verdict: It's good! Mostly. Territorial Pissings into Drain You is a little annoying.

Favourite Song: In Bloom

Anyway, last night AEW aired a nine fucking minute music long video set to the entirety of November Rain on television to recap all of the big matches heading into Full Gear next week and it fucking owns, go watch it! I think my favourite part is how deadly serious and vengeance/honour/legacy-focused it all is except for like fifteen seconds in the middle when Mina Shirakawa shows up out of nowhere to be like CHAMPAGNE CELEBRATION!!!!!!!! and bounces. Mariah's totally gonna kill her, isn't she. :(
