re: Talents and Hard Work

The moon was so big and bright in the sky this morning that I almost fell down the stairs while leaving the house.

Company Christmas party tonight, so while I get to leave work three-and-a-half hours early, it's to do something much harder than work (dressing up and being social), so is that really a good thing? At least there'll be free food. They were SO reluctant to let us close early, I'm pretty sure they only announced it at the last minute because half of the service department had MYSTERIOUSLY not RSVPed (the party literally starts before the end of our shift). Ridiculous cheapskates. As long as I burn my two drink tickets as soon as I get there, I should be fine to get up for work again twelve hours later.

I'm already feeling sleepy.

15. Which Is More Important: Talent or Hard Work?

Definitely the latter. Pretty much anything worth doing is not something people are just innately born capable of doing, it's all learned behaviour. Talent might make the learning way easier, but it's random and rare and there is precious little out there that most people can't just git gud at with enough effort.
