re: Making Friends

Had one of my rare crash nights. Straight up just got home, watched Messiah of Evil, ate an entire pizza, and passed the fuck OUT. Waking up in the morning is so much easier when you actually sleep for eight hours first! Imagine just being able to do that all the time!

It does mean I don't have my usual twitchy, sleep-deprived, hyper-focus, though, so I keep zoning out. Caught myself just staring directly into the sun for like thirty seconds as it came up, which made trying to do paperwork very difficult for the next few minutes.

FYI because I didn't know until someone mentioned it in a random Discord server: the New York Times tech guild is on strike over unfair labour practices and asking the public not to use their games or cooking apps in solidarity. My little games. :(

10. Do You Find It Easier to Make New Friends Online or In Person?

In terms of bonding and really getting closer to people, nothing beats hanging out IRL, but it's so much easier to actually meet people in the first place online, particularly ones I have anything in common with and might actually want to be friends with, so it's a tough call. Maybe if I lived somewhere with more options to get out and meet a variety of people I'd say in person (still riding high on actually making a real life friend a little while ago, he stopped by last week to show me his sick Bret Hart Halloween costume!), but that's... tough here, so pocket pals it is!
