Conclave was fun! A proper little adult drama that kinda makes the upper echelons of the Catholic church feel like a gossipy drama-riddled high school? While also being a very blatant allegory for the current moment (putting it out right before the American election was a CHOICE) that is going to make a lot of the sort of people that would want to go see a religious thriller big mad. A good night out! It started snowing in earnest while we were in there, though, and the roads were extremely treacherous on the way home.

Woke up to a proper winter wonderland. Not very cold at all, with over two inches of wet white stuff to trudge through on my way to work, all lit by that cloudy blue morning light that we stole back from the idiotic bullshit that is Daylight Savings in the night. It should last about... a week or two? Christ, what a pointless system.

The one thing I learned from when my mum was the Church secretaryis that even the lower levels of Catholicism are gossipy high school BS with the priests as the star quarterback all the ladies (and some of the fellas) are trying to impress lololol.

(My mum was specifically hired BECAUSE she wasn’t a practicing Catholic—-the folks working at the rectory wanted nothing to do with that crowd.)

lol catholicism is the best kind of christianity, so much DRAMA
