Happy Halloween! I... am at work, and that will be my day, tragically. And while I think this large bucket of candy I've been given is probably not for me personally to decimate, I'm the only one who's going to be around it for twelve straight hours, so whatever happens, happens.
God, I wish the movie theatre wasn't all the way across town. Being able to go on my own whenever I like would be about the single biggest quality of life upgrade I could conceivably make right now.
Digging the new Pokemon TCG Pocket app. The massively simplified battling feature really makes me miss building proper decks, though. The ripping of the packs, the collecting of the cards, looking at the pretty ones, putting them in binders, all of that's so great, though, even with the eighteen different kinds of in-game currency. Every time I get tempted to spend real money on it, I will simply crack open tcgplayer.com and make an equivalent order for a shot of that real nostalgia instead of this methadone app.
6. What Are the Sounds That Make Up the Background Noise in Your Life?
General dealership/garage hubbub at work, the interminable clatter of the dog's nails on the floor combined with my mom and brother screaming at each other at the other end of the house at home. Mostly I try to drown it all out with music or watching things! I miss Bub. She was so noisy.
Work is a spooooky nightmare, but everyone is still in a weirdly good mood about it all, myself included. Truly the best of holidays.
