Bubwatch is getting... difficult. I knew it would, at least when I realized hers was going to be a quiet, at-home sort of death. It's so hard to watch her little body slowly shut down while she just stays herself through it all, and I would have taken her to the vet the instant I knew this was happening to get it over with cleanly and quickly if only she wasn't such a bad traveler. But going anywhere with her was always such an ordeal at the best of times, and I just can't stomach the thought of putting her in any sort of distress this close to the end when she's otherwise doing alright. She'd be so scared in the van and I just want her to be happy and cozy and surrounded by familiar places for as long as possible. So torn between wanting it to all be over and wanting it to never be over.
Fuck, this is depressing. She's hanging out in the hall right now (she can't move more than a step or two at a time, but she can still at least make it clear where she wants to be so I know enough to help her out), so I'm gonna get a quick run in. We're heading out to visit my grandmother and catch a movie tomorrow, so she'll have lots of time alone if that's what she's waiting for.

Hmm. Yes, but only to a certain extent, and also it depends on what your job is. Some people need to be held to a higher standard when they're attaching their real names to things, but also, people with shit opinions need jobs too. This is a nuanced issue and I am very sad.
