[394] but who could know if I'm a traitor

Bit of a boring Monday. Woke up early because the house was freezing because this is the worst time of year, alternating between heater weather and air conditioner weather within just a couple of hours. Ate an excellently awful, greasy breakfast, got in a quick run, and read quite a bit. Cleaned the kitchen, ordered dinner when mom got home, watched a bit of TV with her. One more night and one more day before my time is no longer my own again. Because society, I guess.

Wikipedia Sez: Time (The Revelator) is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Gillian Welch. All songs were written by Welch together with David Rawlings and were recorded at RCA Studio B, Nashville, Tennessee, with the exception of "I Want to Sing That Rock and Roll", which was recorded live at the Ryman Auditorium as part of the sessions for the concert film Down from the Mountain.

Genre: Folk, Country, Pop/Rock

Styles: Alt-Country, Alternative/Indie Rock, Americana, Neo-Traditional Folk

Release Date: July 31st, 2001

Prior Familiarity: None.

What I Did While Listening: Set up journal pages for the coming work week as the sun went down (at like seven thirty, SOB).

Verdict: Lovely, vibey, moody country. Extremely my thing, albeit a little too low-key with too many long runtimes for regular rotation.

Favourite Song: Gonna just say Revelator, since the album hit the ground running and never really peaked after my initial (very positive) assessment of it.

Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think tonight will be for The Legend of Dragoon and catching up on Marigold shows. I still gotta draw myself up a chart to follow along with the Dream Star Grand Prix!
