[389] do you have some room within your hold for some friends of ours who won't be growing old?
Had grand plans for the day, but then I got depressed by the thought of having to go back to work tomorrow, so I just watched movies and played video games. I still have a bit of time before I need to get to bed, so I'd like to get a run and a pedicure in, but I might be tied up tidying up instead. We'll see, I guess.
Really nervous about having to ask for another day off. This can't be a good look with a brand new manager, but what can you do? Sometimes moms get cancer, and since my brother went down with her for the actual surgery, it's my turn.

Wikipedia Sez: American Gothic is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter David Ackles. It was released on July 4, 1972, by record label Elektra.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Singer/Songwriter
Release Date: Exactly one week before my last album! I'm very much trapped in the circle-jerky '70s vortex again, but I'm enjoying it a lot more this time around.
Prior Familiarity: Negative fifteen. Who is this guy, even?
What I Did While Listening: Just kinda fucked around in Notion, clearing out a bit of my email inbox in the process.
Verdict: My jaw dropped within the first five seconds of this, because it is fun as hell from the word go. Everything anyone has ever said about this guy and his work seems to be some variation of 'deserves to be way better known' and I simply must add my voice to the chorus!
Favourite Song: Ballad of the Ship of State
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
