[384] lose sleep, baby, and stay away from bed
Had the new Kraft Dinner burger from KFC for breakfast, but got my laundry put away, so I'm probably breaking even in terms of good behaviour for the day? Being generous, here. Back to work in the morning, but All In is this weekend, the ZR community run is underway, and mom's got surgery on Friday, so I'll have plenty of things to keep my mind occupied through the shift.
Finished Shogun. Still mostly hate the main character. Good stuff otherwise. Also watched all of the forgotten Clue Club movies from 1935 for some reason? Bit jarring since two of them are Perry Mason movies and I'm still in the middle of the second season of the 2022 version, but fun nevertheless.

Wikipedia Sez: Raw Power is the third studio album by American rock band the Stooges (credited as Iggy and the Stooges), released on February 7, 1973 by Columbia Records. The album departed from the "groove-ridden, feel-based songs" of the band's first two records in favor of a more anthemic hard rock approach inspired by new guitarist James Williamson, who co-wrote the album's eight songs with singer Iggy Pop. Pop produced the recording sessions himself and David Bowie assisted with post-production work, though the team were allotted only one day to mix the album and the resulting fidelity was poor. Later reissues have attempted to either correct or enhance the original mix, most notably Pop's 1997 remix, which became notorious for its extreme volume and compression.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Album Rock, Detroit Rock, Hard Rock, Proto-Punk
Release Date: February 7th, 1973
Prior Familiarity: Low!
What I Did While Listening: Cleaned up my room a bit, made noodles, stayed up way too late. Read through some of the Scrivener tutorial, because I hadn't actually upgraded to Scrivener 3 until now and good goddamn what an amazing piece of software it remains.
Verdict: Good enough that I had no qualms listening to it twice over (I checked out both the Bowie mix and the Iggy mix; the former definitely sounds better, but the latter feels more true to the soul of the album, if that makes sense), but it ultimately didn't leave that much of an impression on me.
Favourite Song: Gimme Danger
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
What the hell, The Legend of Dragoon has been available on PS4/5 for over a year now and I didn't even notice!!!
