[371] look around for someone lying in the sunshine
I'm definitely in the 'lingering hack' phase of every single miserable head cold I've ever gotten, and I am tired. And hurting. Mom wanted to go out tonight for dinner and a movie because she was feeling good about herself for a change, and I was just not up to it, so we ordered food and watched Alien on the couch together instead. Twisters tomorrow, if I can get my shit together. I have to get my shit together.
It was too smoky to even go outside today, so what is even the point of anything! I did anyway, at least for a little while after the major heat of the day had subsided, just until I started getting a bit of a headache. But still!
Nine thirty and already starting to get dark. The smoke is the cause of a lot of it, but not all. The passage of time, you are a bitch. Keeping an eye on the evacuation notices, and keeping on.

Wikipedia Sez: Basket of Light is a 1969 album by the folk rock group Pentangle. It reached no. 5 on the UK Albums Chart. A single from the album, "Light Flight", the theme from BBC1's first colour drama series Take Three Girls, reached no. 43 on the UK Singles Chart. Another single from the album, "Once I Had a Sweetheart", reached no. 46 in the charts. The album's liner notes state that "Springtime Promises" was written "after a ride on a number 74 bus from Gloucester Road to Greencroft Gardens on an early spring day".
Genre: Folk, Pop/Rock
Styles: British Folk, British Folk-Rock, Folk-Rock, Psychedelic/Garage
Release Date: October 26th, 1969
Prior Familiarity: Negative five!
What I Did While Listening: Hit up Amazon for a cheap lounge chair so I can really maximize my outside basking hours once/if this goddamn smoke clears. It's a bit late in the season, but I should be able to get August out of it, at least.
Verdict: wicker man ass music
Favourite Song: Train Song
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
