[347] when I say "PUMP THAT" y'all say "SHIT UP"
Summer? Summerrrrrr, where did you go? I'm so very tired of waking up shivering and needing my winter jacket to walk to work when we are four days from the solstice. Please come back, summer, I hear about you plaguing the rest of the world. We miss you here.
Maybe the cold is why I've been so much more tired than my baseline this week, actually? I'm also still gaining weight and feeling like utter shit about it. Mom's tumour that isn't officially a tumour yet but is behaving exactly like the last one did is bigger every day and we've still got over a week to wait until her biopsy. Just two more days until I'm off work. Two more days, two more days, two more days.

Wikipedia Sez: Phrenology is the fifth studio album by American hip hop band the Roots, released on November 26, 2002, by MCA Records. Recording sessions for the album took place during June 2000 to September 2002 at Electric Lady Studios in New York. It was primarily produced by members of the band and features contributions from hip hop and neo soul artists such as Cody ChesnuTT, Musiq Soulchild, Talib Kweli, and Jill Scott.
Genre: Rap
Styles: Alternative Rap, Jazz-Rap, East Coast Rap, Hardcore Rap
Release Date: November 26th, 2002
Prior Familiarity: Low.
What I Did While Listening: My nails! And generally just kicked it at the end of another very long, sleepy day.
Verdict: It kinda switches between a two-star album and a four-star album throughout? Also, I really disliked the lyrics of most of the tracks with the best beats, and the best tracks lyrically didn't do much for me to actually listen to? It's pretty good overall, though. Also, I wish the little interstitial numbers had been more consistent throughout, they were really well done.
Favourite Song: Rhymes and Ammo, that and Thirsty! were by far my favourite part of the album, instant favourites, and apparently they were originally just hidden tracks at the end of the CD? So maybe this one's not for me.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐⭐⭐, that's just math
