[343] you gotta have art, without delay
Today has been about tackling the annoying things I've been avoiding. I cleaned out mom's grungy old Scentsy so I can melt some fuckin' wax when I take baths, I completely purged Notion from my work computer so I could do a clean install since it hasn't been letting me log into the app for a few days and the browser version just gets in my way, and I knocked out listening to a stupid album that I'd been putting off because I couldn't find it anywhere. They are lame accomplishments, but today, they are mine, and seeing as it's somehow only fucking Friday, I will take what I can get.
The weather remains intermittently rainy, but it's still mostly bright and sunny in the mornings and evenings and I would much rather just enjoy that. Not thinking about how we're only a week out from the days starting to get shorter again. There's a lot I'm not thinking about right now!

Wikipedia Sez: Rising Above Bedlam is an album by Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart, released by Oval Records in 1991. The album was a shortlisted nominee for the 1992 Mercury Prize. Trouser Press called the album "ambitious" and "a refreshing departure from some of the flat, occasionally tedious and self-conscious material [Wobble] lobbed out in the '80s." The Rough Guide To Rock praised "Visions of You" and "Bomba," writing that they made the album "worthwhile."
Genre: Pop/Rock, International (he's from fucking Stepney, fuck off)
Styles: Worldbeat, Alternative Pop/Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock
Release Date: September 30th, 1991
Prior Familiarity: Don't fucking insult me.
What I Did While Listening: Actually got quite a few chores done for a work night, finally put all my laundry away and tidied up and what not. Even if I hate this album for a variety of reasons, it had some good beats that made it good housework music to move around to OR IT WOULD HAVE IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO STOP AFTER EVERY TRACK TO FIND THE NEXT ONE ELSEWHERE ON YOUTUBE BECAUSE THIS GARBAGE IS NOT STREAMING A N Y W H E R E, THERE WASN'T EVEN A FUCKING PLAYLIST SOMEWHERE WITHOUT HALF THE TRACKS REMOVED. The internet was trying to protect me.
Verdict: It stinks!
Favourite Song: Visions of You had some nice Sinéad O'Connor vocals, at least.
Leshia's Rating: ⭐ (actually two with a penalty for making me jump through fucking hoops just to listen to it, welcome to one-star hell with Captain Beefheart and Lightning Bolt, Jah)
Watched a movie last night where Meryl Streep sings bittersweet breakup songs to a series of ventriloquist dummies last night, and then because I wasn't sure how I felt about it, I watched it again, and now I'm pretty sure that I adore it.
