[344] I'm too much for a cage of monkeys
Back at work, already over it, yawning so much, and the relentlessly unsummerish weather is not helping. We briefly hit twenty degrees yesterday, at least! And we're definitely not gonna be on fire again any time soon, so there's that.
Another wasted week off, and I need to book my Calgary trip next month, but I've got work wanting to send me to Calgary for training at some point in the next month, so I kinda want to wait and see where that falls first? But the manager looking after it is even more of a procrastinator than I am, so who knows if/when working out details will actually happen. Maybe I'll find a hotel that I can reserve without paying until the day of, we'll see.

Wikipedia Sez: Sunshine Hit Me is the debut album from the British band The Bees. At the time when the album was recorded the band only comprised Paul Butler and Aaron Fletcher, who wrote, performed and recorded the album alone using a home studio in Butler's parents' garden. Both Butler and Fletcher had been active in the Isle of Wight music scene for a while, performing in local indie/electronic outfits Pnu Riff and, more recently, the Exploding Thumbs. Butler had also guested on several other albums produced on the island, including some by Max Brennan.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Alternative/Indie Rock, Indie Pop, British Trad Rock, Neo-Psychedelia
Release Date: Marcy 25th, 2002
Prior Familiarity: None whatsoever. Who???
What I Did While Listening: Just kinda hung around because I was nice and warm and didn't want to do anything else.
Verdict: I have a theory that whenever an album is full of twee bullshit and has a luchador on the cover, I'm gonna have a real good fuckin' time with it. This has happened more than once now!
Favourite Song: Sweet Like a Champion

My Notion databases have been stagnating a bit of late. Time to tidy up until my sad noodle cup lunch gives me brief respite.
