Firewatch 2k24 continues! Still waiting on the morning update, but it's a cold and rainy day which, while not particularly cheery, shouldn't actively make the fire worse, so I'll take it. There were only about fifteen people in the entire service department yesterday, a number that has increased substantially today as the all hands status update emails get slightly more passive aggressive towards the people who left without actually being told they had to, since that's less an evacuation and more just a sudden trip you decided to take. Still, we remain very understaffed as there are still thousands of people who have actually had to evacuate, and we've tentatively reduced our customer-facing hours to 8am-5pm for the rest of the week. Which isn't great for me, since that's fifteen hours I'm losing and not getting paid for, but lots of places aren't open at all, so I'm trying to make the most of having a bit more evening to myself for a few days. Also: morning yoga, since I'm not about to change my complex system of alarms over a lousy half hour.
The sales department is still closed, since we've had an insurance blackout placed on all postal codes in the region, so they can't actually... sell cars to anyone right now. So yeah, it could definitely be worse for me! We were supposed to have a barbecue today that has been cancelled, and I completely blew today's Connections puzzle, and hopefully that's as bad as it gets!!
8. How Much Did Your Parents Help With Your Homework?
Not much? I didn't really ask on the regular, my mom mostly just pitched in whenever I had a big pointless craft project that I had left to the last minute. God, school sucked.
