[340] this ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no fooling around

I'm in Winnipeg! It's a very old-feeling city. This is my second time here, and I think I like it. After my initial flight out of town got delayed, I ended up stranded in the Calgary airport for several extra hours as per fucking usual (but not overnight like the poor guy sitting across from me, at least), and eventually got in and settled at my accommodations just in time to run back out the door to hit up a girl gang exploitation double feature at the nearby indie theatre. I sat in something sticky. It ruled.

My pants are now off, I've located a kettle to make some tea or whatever it is I do when I'm on vacation, and I've slapped the Criterion Channel up onto the TV, so my night is officially over. Dynamite and Rampage tomorrow. And probably other stuff, too??? Kebby :)

Genre: Pop/Rock

Styles: Album Rock, Alternative/Indie Rock, American Punk, Contemporary Pop/Rock, New Wave, New York Punk, Post-Punk, Punk/New Wave, Dance-Rock, College Rock

Release Date: August 3rd, 1979

Prior Familiarity: Pretty good!

What I Did While Listening: Ran a Zombies, Run! mission, forgetting that my stamina gets fully halved whenever it's too hot in the house. I was a very sweaty bean by the end.

Verdict: Finally, some good fucking food! After a run of duds, we got a banger up in here! It's not actually my favourite Talking Heads, but it still fucking kills, especially as a palate cleanser after my last few albums. Also an AMAZING ZR album.

Favourite Song: Heaven
