Vacation Missive #5: Whiteout!
Ah, the perils of traveling in winter, even the tail end of it. Yesterday was ridiculously snowy and windy from sunup to about one in the morning, so I called a snow day and aside from a quick jaunt to get myself food, just hung around inside all day. I took a nice hot shower and ate lots of junk and did some very gentle, cautious yoga while I continue to baby my knee and watched random movies and today is another day!
There's a very excellent tiny old movie theatre wedged deep in a building only a six-minute walk from where I am that I will hit up again this afternoon after fucking around in a museum for a while, I think. Three more days to kill before Dynamite and Rampage come around again!

Wikipedia Sez: Manassas is the 1972 debut double album by Manassas, a blues rock group led by American musician Stephen Stills, released April 1972. It was a critical comeback for Stills, and continued his commercial success by being certified Gold only a month after being released and peaking at number 4 on the US charts.
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Contemporary Pop/Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Rock & Roll, Soft Rock
Release Date: April 12th, 1972
Prior Familiarity: None.
What I Did While Listening: Made a quick run to the grocery store across the street in a full-on blizzard so that I could properly hole myself up for the rest of the day. Got back to my hotel room, curled up at the windowsill, and watched the snow fall while I ate my microwave gratin.
Verdict: It's alright? I don't know, it's very long and very few tracks really jumped out at me as anything too special. There are hints here and there of interesting stuff shining through (the brief bits where it gets all synthy made me go 'huh' but in the good way), but mostly it's just good bluesy country vibes that all blend together.
Favourite Song: The Treasure (Take One)
