[317] tell the moon dog, tell the march hare
Completely forgot we had a play to go see today, so it was a good thing I wandered out of my bedroom when I did this afternoon to be reminded, giving me just enough time to get a quick run and shower in before we left a bit early to grab supper. Otherwise I would have had to change out of my workout clothes that I had just put on only to put them on again later and that sort of redundancy infuriates me! As it was, everything turned out perfectly, and it was a lovely Saturday for everyone involved! The play will get its own post at some point. My hair looks really good and so does my vaguely Pugsley Addams-inspired outfit, so I may just chill like this for a while and alternate watching short films and catching up on Stardom until it's bedtime yoga time. Halfway through the week off. Feeling good.

Wikipedia Sez: Fragile is the fourth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes, released on 12 November 1971 by Atlantic Records. It was the band's first album to feature keyboardist Rick Wakeman, who replaced Tony Kaye after the group had finished touring their breakthrough record, The Yes Album (1971).
Genre: Pop/Rock
Styles: Album Rock, Art Rock, Prog-Rock, Arena Rock, Contemporary Pop/Rock
Release Date: November 12th, 1971
Prior Familiarity: Very low, but in a weird way. Like, I honestly don't think I've ever heard Roundabout before, but every single PART of it was deeply familiar to me? Has it been sampled a lot or something?
What I Did While Listening: An episode of The Walk. Light physical activity as comfort food.
Verdict: Once I figured out the gimmick here (it's four actual prog-rock epics interspersed with five tracks of the individual band members taking turns just fucking around for between thirty seconds and two minutes), I instantly knew it was going to be that precise blend of pretentious musicianship and silly goosery that hits just right for me. Quite enjoyed this one.
Favourite Song: Mood for a Day. It's just a lovely little classical guitar instrumental in the middle of all this crazy bullshit, innit?
